OK. Over the years, my family has had many things junked up in out closets. In every Closet in the house, there are things that we don't need anymore. So This year before thanksgiving, my family and I are going to sort thru all of the things and seperate everthing into three piles. 1)Throw out things that aren't useful anymore. 2)Keep Things that are Passed down to us. 3)Give things that are useful to other people but not to us anymore to a Thrift Store.

But the problem is, I wanted to know does the Salvation Army or any other Thrift Store that you give you items to, do they give you money for them or something like that.

My mother said that she is not putting up Christmas Decorations until everything out of the closets are out.

Please Help Me.

Thanks.

I have basic sewing skills, but do not want to get into the big fancy quilts or buy a really expensive machine. I'm looking at rag quilts and I'm thinking those would be easy and fun to make for gifts. What machine would be good for that kind of simple sewing?

I primed my kitchen walls, then painted 2 coats of paint. Looks great. I then painted my living room walls with JUST 2 coats of paint. Looks EXACTLY the same. I could care less how LONG the paint will last because i don't plan on being in my home longer than 3 years or so. So really, how important is it to prime?

When someone was painting the ceiling in one of my bedrooms, something happened to my textured ceiling (looks like stucco). Where the wall and ceiling meet, there is some like chips of something that looks like paper hanging from the ceiling. Is it paper? Can you explain what happened? And most importantly, how do I get my ceiling make to the original condition?
