In a domestic situation, as many as you want, but good practice is one for each flooor and a separate one for the kitchen. Plus at least one separate circuit for washing machine or dishwasher, to leave capacity in the ring.
I just noticed that your question says, 'how many can be USED' not FITTED, well the answer to that is that you can use as many as you like, the 32amp CB will limit the maximum load to about 7.5kw and protect the cable from overloading.

you can have up to 50 within an area of 100m2, with a circuit breaker of 32amp, however that would not include your kitchen cos your kitchen needs to have its own ringmain with its own 32 amp breaker.
Insure all the sockets are earthed to the backbox using fly leads from the backbox to the sockets itself.make sure all sockets which your appliances are going to be plugged into are controled via a fuse spur. My husband is still telling me what to type and its a load of boring jargon to me........zzzzzzz im starting to fall asleep zzzzzzzzz, socketszzzzback boxes zzzzzzzzz electrics zzzzzz

As many as you like in any area of 100 Sq metres or less , if over 100Sq metres in area then only 6 are allowed.
In any case the 32 Amp mcb or rcbo will protect the cable.
If domestic work you must comply with Part "P" of the building regulations as this is now law.

Loads and loads just keep going, handy tip change your fuse wire for a 6" nail that way it won't keep fusing out on you and you will be killed sooner.
Better still contact an electrician who will provide you with all the correct information you need.

Cant answer that one
It depends on several things
What room/s? (kitchen for example should be on its own ring), what breaker do you have in your consumer unit?
Are you part P?
Any work carried out in your home needs to be done by a qualified electrician, as your asking this question, I guess your not. So my advise is get one in, its not only safer to use a qualified sparks but its now law.
