It's apx. $2000. but in my opinion it is too expensive. to replace your tub and tile would be cheaper.

With the new products being used to resurface bathtubs and wall tile these days, there"s no reason to tear out or use bath fitter anymore. If you're in the Daytona Beach area check out graysrestoration.com

I had the old tub tore out, but not replaced. I had to have new green wall replaced on all 3 sides due to a water leak and wood rot. Bath Fitter removed all of the old green wall & wood rot, replaced with new. Installed only a shower pan and new walls to ceiling, I could not afford to have the bathtub covered with a new one. Total for 2 days of work $3,800.00

It is way more then hiring a contractor and getting all new fixtures and tub . Tubs cost 250 to a few thousand depending on how fancy and brand name you want to buy. Again you find out what really is going on behind your walls with any mold plumbing etc. If you have an older home bathfitters may not be the way to go.

The cost varies greatly pending on the grade and accessories you want. Overall, it is a tad cheaper than tiling, but in the long term is just a cheap cosmetic fix. Costs run between $1400 - $5,000 for plastic. Let me repeat - plastic. Better to do things with tile, grout and etc. In the long term it is more cost effective and much nicer. Bathfitter has become too expensive over the years in my humble opinion.... just not worth it.

It depends on where you live and how many guests there will be. My youngest DD had her "dream wedding" two years ago this coming summer. We live in a fairly low cost of living area - North Texas. I was careful with every dollar spent. We paid for everything the bride's family traditionally pays for, including the bridesmaid's clothing and their hotel expenses. Our total cost for the wedding was $30,000 for 200 guests or $150/person. DD paid for the groom's wedding ring and gift. I think she spent about $3,000.. I do not know how much the groom spent. I do know he paid for the tuxedo rentals for his groomsmen, their hotel expenses, DD's flowers, her ring, wedding gift and the honeymoon. I'm going to guess he spent in the neighborhood of $15,000. The groom's parents paid for the rehearsal dinner for 50 people. I think that ran about $50/person, which would be $2,500. All of the above added together is $50,500. That's a ballpark. In a "high rent" area, it could easily be three to five times as much for the same thing DD had. Good Luck with your planning.

Why would you want to put a plastic shell over your nasty old tub? A bathtub is pretty cheap you can just get a new tub/shower with fixtures and tiles for about the same price and it's not just plastic.

We recently remodeled an entire bathroom using 12x12 GORGEOUS tiles that we got at Lowe's on sale. In another house, I had BathFitter come in...and it cost 3x more to have ugly plastic put in than it did to do floors and walls to the ceiling in tile. Don't do it.

After reading the reviews, I don t think Bath Fitter is the way to go, especially when my house was built in 1953. I think I m going to by my own tub, fixtures, titles and have someone to put it in for me. I have a very tiny bathroom and I don t think I m ready to spend 3,000 + on a do-it-youself job.
