My daughter's tub drain is slow to drain. I know how to plunge a toilet, and to undo the J-bend under a sink to get those things flowing again, but how to I get the gunk out of a tub drain. There's no access to the pipe and I can't poke any pliers through the top.

The current thermostat has these wires:

W - white
B - blue
G - green
R - red
O - orange
Y - yellow
X - not used (connector, but no wire)

and my new digital thermostat has these options:

Rh/Rc (came in box with jumper installed to connect)
W
Y

My question is where do I put all of these wires into my new thermostat?

Thanks!

I am installing a porcelain pedestal sink. The pipes come up from the floor and are immoveable. In order for the sink to be flush agains the wall, I need to widen the cut-out in the bottome of the pedestal for all the pipes to fit in the hollowed-out area. I'm afraid if I use a drill that I'll crack the porcelain. Any ideas on how to cut through the porcelain without cracking it?

We have really old electric in our house (knob and tubing). My husband says that if we have an electrician come in to fix our living room (putting in new electric). They will flag our house because it is unsafe. We can not afford to do the other rooms at this time. We have rebuilt the room already by putting in the studs so know we need the electric. Can we get somebody to come in and do the work without making us do the rest of the whole house?

The toilet will flush as long as its only water going down the drain. Ive put my best effort into plunging" it, but still..... a little tissue and a flush....and its rising to the top....i suspect there may be a toy in the drain or maybe some plastic.....when i find out.....i will be sure to transform into the Hulk!!!

Hello.

I accidentaly stuck a printed paper sticker on the wrong hard plastic item, and i would like to remove the sticker without ruining it but its quite stuck and im afraid it will fall apart if i try to peel it.

Any ideas on how to remove this sticker without ruining the sticker iteslf. all the other advice i have seen involves ruining the sticker, this is not an option in my case, the sticker is the thing of value.

So i doubt i can use solvents like acetone, alcohols etc.. as it will more then definately ruin the sticker anlong with what is printed on it.

someone has mentioned heat,, i dont know if this will work , and i have not tried it yet.

Any other ideas?

I have an old Black & Decker "Quattro Digital" 240v Drill, which I love as it has a cool computer on top of it, but it's gone faulty. One of the brushes wore down and I've replaced them both, but it's still spluttering and cutting out, when I look inside while it's working, there are a great deal of sparks being created where the brushed touch the motor.

Is this normal, and it just needs burning in, or do you think that I've pitted the contacts with the worn-out brush and the motor is done for?
