Plant trees or shrubs in front of it. My roommate in college was a landscaping architect, they use trees for noise reduction all the time. Also some curtains or fabric over the window should help a little. Also if you have just a single pane window, see about replacing it with a double or triple pane window. The void between the window panes will help keep out sound.

you can use any type of door or window wether seals that stick on this will reduce drafts and a small amount of noise
or
get double sheeting glass windows installed
or
get thicker glass in stalled

make sure it is comming from the window and not the floor or the walls as this could also be the problem

Like a tree? Or a person? Well if it's not living, I think the easiest way to reduce it is to just put something in front of your window, preventing it fron coming in, but if it's people, it matters... Lets say, they are being load and obnocious... that kinda stuff you could call in. Otherstuff, just like them talking, do the same thing, just put like something in front of the window.

Put up a secondary window in front of or behind the exixting window it can be glass or plexi glass. this would be the cheapes way. Or you can replace the whole window with double or triple pane window

sound is caused by vibration. If the window is too thin, the vibrations will vibrate the window. Get a thinker window, or more layers of windows.

Let us first think how sound travels. Sound travels through air/joints and so on. So if you use glasses with impact resistant quality and if you close the windows through with glasses you can stop noise.

either get a gun and start shooting(not advisable and proberally in very bad taste ..not to mention police dont really like it!)
or buy lots of bricks and block it up(bad if you like your view or just want light at all.. but you could buy lamps?!)

secondary windows cause damp and are ineffective, heavy audio curtains work best, but are not 100%.
