try JB weld it is the strongest epoxy I have found and I have tested just about all of them. ITs thick and doesnt run it has a decent dry time and it will hold an amazing amount of weight.

Try gorilla glue it is available at most hardware stores now and works on most everything. I have never tried it on brass but I have on some unidentified metal and it worked really well. Read the bottle first before buying no point wasting money.

Go down to Home Depot , and purchase "Simpson Epoxy" set 22 this stuff is very strong ,and reliable. This stuff is so strong it can hold relationships together! It costs $30.00 for the tube, and $10.00 for the tip.If you're a cheap bastard like me,just buy the tube , slice it down the middle so you can use a regular caulking gun , squirt the black then the white , then mix together with small brush or something till it turns gray, then apply.

epoxy works well, but for a cheaper alternative, try gorilla glue, extremely strong and bonds to many materials.
