what can i do???? is there a rod out there that will stay silver and shiny???

or do you know what i can do to get the rust off???

do you think that one of those infomercial things would help??? you know the one where all your silverware looks brand new afetr using some product????

I'm about to order some replacement vinyl windows and am not sure where to measure to assure the most accurate measurements. I have a brick house and was told to measure from brick to brick around the window on the outside of the house. Is this the best way? I am also aware that many times, when an order is placed, the windows will come slightly smaller. Please respond only if you have successfully measured and replaced a window. Thanks.

As I prepare to finish my basement, I have one thing that the guys at Lowe's couldn't really answer completely. Do I *have* to use pressure treated wood on basement concrete... or is that mainly for external concrete applications. If I'm getting moisture on my basement floor (needing pressure treated wood), then I have bigger problems.

So, if no moisture issues, can I use just regular studs?

Thanks

II'm going to do some of the wiring for my new house. I plan on using 12/2 for most of the circuits. Even then, if I want to add a switch going to a light fixture should I still use 12/2 or can I mix and use 14/2 going to the llight.

A friend said to turn off the main and drain the water from the pipes by turning the faucets on.

I wanted to make sure this was all I needed to do so I won't come back to a mess

Hi, the interior walls of my house are concrete block(no plaster or drywall) what is the easiest way to put up a shelf. I have tried drilling holes( very difficult) Is there a certain drill for this to make it easier? Plus, I can't get the screws to stay in as they don't want to screw into the concrete. Help!
thanks

I like moen but I notice after a while of opening and closing them they become harder to close and open becuase the cartridge becomes less lubricated. American Standerd I heard uses ceramic vavles which from what I understand last longer.
