Basically I know what I want in the trusses, I want to make attic trusses and they are simple to make. but I do not know what to do as far as offsetting the load being the attic trusses dont have much center support...

So I was looking to find a program that could do all the calculations for me and give me the best structural design.

Looks like I may just contact an engineer and go that route...

Most truss manufacturers will make those calculations for you for free - provided you buy the trusses from them!
Otherwise, you'd need to know the requirements, if any, of your local building dept. for dead-load, you'd need to know potential snowload, type of roof covering (shingles, metal, clay tiles), the slope required by local bldg. codes, the strength specifications of whatever species of wood you'll use, any planned openings to the attic so you know where to place intermediate chords, ETC!
All that, besides the obvious dimensions of length, width, and height of your attic.
I've looked for such calculators on the web but have yet to find them.
Your bldg. dept. may require an engineer's stamp of approval if you're planning to build your own WHICH can offset any savings of buying them from a truss manufacturer.

Even if you were able to calculate the truss most municipalities require the truss calculations be signed by a structural engineer. If you will need a building permit an engineer will have to sign them.

do u need to know the minimum or maximum span?
do u need to know the design constraints?
your question is not specific enough...
You need to go to a truss designer. There is no specific computer program that will calculate how big of a room you can create with one specific truss. Good luck
