A couple years ago, I redid my living room. And I had found a site where you put all the mesurements of the room, your couch, tv stand, even lamps into it, and it let you play around and find different ways for it all to be arranged.

But I cant find it now. And I just bought a new place, and badly want to play with all the different options for my furniture.

Does anyone know where I can find a FREE online version of a room makeover?

What is the maintenance? Cost? What do I put on the floor then? The vanity top is a sink and top --all in one. Can I replace with separate sink and granite? What will look nicer with dark cherry or mahogany?

I am looking for a CFL bulb that is most similar to the standard incadesant light, both in terms of physical size and light color. I have been installing CFLs in my house, but they tend to have a very harsh, white color. This is fine for the garage or the utility room, but I would really like a warmer, more natural light in the bedrooms and living room. Is there any specific types or brands of bulbs that I should consider looking at?

Thanks!

I've been to a few stores looking at carpet, and everyone has there own version of what makes their carpet the one for me.The carpet is for a living room that gets fairly heavy traffic. We have teenage kids and pets. Stain protection is a must. I would like info. about twists, pile, backing, material, and padding. I would like to spend in the $30-$60 range if possible. We have been looking at lees Titanium series and bigelow gold series. Thanks!

We are going to be tiling around a whirlpool tub in the next few weeks and I saw some glass tiles that looked really sharp but nobody I know has ever worked with glass tile so we're looking for opinions from people who have worked with it before and if they are for or against it.

We are working in a 6 feet by 13 feet space for a friend of mine putting in a complete bathroom/shower in the basement. She wanted it done and hubby is not working because of the weather. She wanted him to do it We started from scratch. She is paying for the materials, however, since we had to start from scratch, how much can we fairly charge her for the labor? We never had to start from scratch before. Thats why I am asking.

They tend to come in silver/gold in many places I've seen. Has anyone seen them in bulk in navy? I need approx 100.

My husband pulled up the carpet in our hallway to reveal what we thought was going to be nice hardwood, similar to the rest of the floors in our new home. Instead he found an unsalvageable mess. There has obviously been some water damage in the past. There are mold spots, the wood has actually shrunk causing gaps between the slats, and the wood is dull and splintering. Can anyone recommend a cleaning method and some product to use to stop the mold growth before we put down new carpeting?

I have a bedroom that is 9x11. Inside of my room I have a bed, a wall of closets (so I can't use that wall), a large dresser, a set of book shelves, and craft boxes. All of this in my room makes it look so small! I'm renting the house I live, so I can't paint or make too many changes to the room, but I'd like to make it look larger or just give myself more space. Any suggestions?

Any idea what it would cost? I'm thinking marble would be just as much. I like how granite shines. I don't think there's a arborite that shines as much. Is there?

I LOVE retro stuff, like from the 50's, 60's, and 70's, and I really want to redo my bedroom in that kind of theme. Where can I get furniture (in good condition) and home decor (including bedding) from those eras? Also, any tips on how to decorate? Thanks :)

When I was pregnant one of my co-workers made me a baby quilt that is fleece fabric and is tied at the ends.

I absolutly love this blanket and wanted to make her one that is for a girl (hers is blue and for a boy) So my question is how do you make them?

I have never made a blanket before so I need lots of help. I think I described it to the best of my ability.
