I am looking for a CFL bulb that is most similar to the standard incadesant light, both in terms of physical size and light color. I have been installing CFLs in my house, but they tend to have a very harsh, white color. This is fine for the garage or the utility room, but I would really like a warmer, more natural light in the bedrooms and living room. Is there any specific types or brands of bulbs that I should consider looking at?

Thanks!

compacts are just miniature flourescent lights and they currently only come in cool white. maybe someone someday will come up with a warm white version, but for now cool white is your only choice.

fyi - there are dimmers made for cfl's, but you need bulbs specifically suited for dimmer applications -
