We are going to be tiling around a whirlpool tub in the next few weeks and I saw some glass tiles that looked really sharp but nobody I know has ever worked with glass tile so we're looking for opinions from people who have worked with it before and if they are for or against it.

COOL STUFF REALLY POPULAR NOW.. I SELL IT. EASY TO WORK WITH. USE A WHITE THINSET OR MASTIC GLUE. THINSET IS BETTER. YOU CAN PICK UP TILE SPACERS IF YOU WANT A LITTLE BIT OF A HAND WITH SPACING GO WITH 3/16 OR WHAT EVER YOUR WALLS ARE DONT GO BIGGER THAN 1/4 INCH. GROUT WITH UNSANDED GROUT SO YOU DONT SCRATCH AND ENJOY. HOPE YOUR PROJECT TURNS OUT AWESOME

I loved working with it. I'm a DIYer with average experience-first time using glass tile and first time doing anything with tile in general. It did take me a long time to do it, but I think it was because I was new to tile.

I did a class through Home Depot on tiling and talked with the person there on technique (I've tried to write it out a few times, but it keeps reading wrong, so ask someone who has done this before).

I chose the lightest mastic that was available to me and used a white grout with latex mixed in so I don't have to mess with redoing the grout. Make sure to clean off the grout well, because it will film over the tile and make it look cloudy. There are products out there that will help get the grout off if you screw up like I did.

Good luck!
