I really want to jazz up my room, and thought lights would look cool. Where do you get them? I dont know what I want, so a place with a lot of variety would be very helpful.

We just bought an oriental-style rug. However, on a Pergo floor, it's much like training for the Ice Capades. So we went to Walmart and purchased some sticky hemp-like mesh to hold it down. It lasted an hour. Then a neighbor gave us some latex-rubber type mesh to cut up and stick under it. It somewhat works, but the rug is still slippery. Does anyone have a DIY remedy to make this rug stay put?

I am a college student about to move into a new apartment. The only thing I dislike about the bedroom is the mirrored closets. I need to find a way to cover them, but it also needs to be removable when I move out. Any suggestions?

I've got to get my house painted. I was going to use someone who only used Sherwin Williams. I'm not using him and the colors I tested are S-W. Are they good or is it personal preference? I had Behr in my bedroom. This will be formal living, dining, halls, foyer, kitchen, and family room.

If I bring the sample paints, I wonder if they could match it if I choose another brand. Who is the best but won't break the bank?

5 year new basement floor. there's some minor floor cracks, nothing jumping up and down. no water issues. I'd like to use a marble mosaic but not sure depending on what's best.

My husband and I are moving from our duplex (much like the size of a large apartment) to a house in the immediate local area. We have the basics: living room set, dinning table, bedroom set (1), washer and dryer, and other small furniture peices (computer desk, etc). Is it worth it to hire professional movers or to do it ourselves. And what would be the typical cost for a small move?
