Look at the apples that you already have in that room. What colors are in them? Is there a light green highlight in any of them? You can probably pull you wall color from there. It'll help highlight the apples that are there. Also think about an apple tree and the colors in nature. What color,tone, are the leaves? What color are the apple blossoms. You can pull the color from anywhere, but I would start by looking at what is already there. Light green is a great choice because apples are found on a green tree, so you are just accenting nature.

Hello,my mom's kitchen is done in apples also.We painted the walls white and put up a border with apples on it ,it looks really nice!

light green or white.the apples would pop more with the white i think.
