I'm in the process of painting my kitchen walls and ceiling all by myself and I just wondered if any other women do the same, alone.

I'm the only one in my house who wields a paint brush - my husband is useless. I have decorated every room in our house, tiled the bathroom (when I was 8 months pregnant), and regularly carry out repairs and maintenance.

Dear Poopsy--Yes, I paint all over the place and love it. Put some music on and enjoy the ability to do so. I painted a nautical scene on a bedroom wall, a sky scene with sea gulls on the bathroom ceiling, turned dark walnut paneling in the downstairs recreation room into a pink heaven. The ceiling was painted pink, the walls were painted pink with white sponging. Then I painted the doors like a Rembrandt painting I put up tiny white lights and whenever I walk into the room, my heart is lifted. Yes, I would rather be painting with someone, but life isn't perfect, is it.

I do. I have painted the bedroom walls and ceilings, the bathroom and I am in the process of painting the upstairs hallway.

I have a couple of ladies who have regularly worked for me as painters for many years now
It is suprising how many women clients like the idea of women working in their homes rather than men

I painted my bedroom, lounge room and kitchen by myself. I love painting but its soo much hard work. Good luck I hope it turns out well!
