I have my creative nature but it only ticks on every so often. So anyway, we moved in about a month ago and my mom's been ragging on me to get my room done. I was wondering if u guys had any ideas on what i could do or if u knew of any sites to help me get ideas. I'm a 13 year old, i lyk rock, i'm a christian, and i'm not totally girly but i'm not a tomboy. Most of the things in my room are green, purple, or blue. A site w/ easy diy things for my room would help a lot. I hope i'm not reaching for the stars and i can get help. Thanks.

I have a rather large great room with vaulted ceilings. I was thinking about going with a light color to make the room seem brighter. Currently, it is a dark shade of brown and the place always seems dark. Anyone who has vaulted ceilings can tell you that lighting such an area is tough anyway, so I am looking for a color that will help.

Hi All!

I was at a new club that just opened the other night near where i live called Syren, and they were burning Nag Champa incense. I loved the smell! I was wondering where I can buy it locally, and not have to order it online. I heard that they sell it at Pier 1...is this true? I don't think they have any "hippie" stores around my area, so that won't work. Thanks! :)

Was trying to install a high closet rod about 5 inches from ceiling but seems that the studs are metal, can't find any wood studs to screw the closet rod to. Can u drill into metal studs.

I just bought a house and the bottom cupboard and countertop are stainless steel. They came from an old school house cafeteria and are absolutely hideous. They have about 1.5 inch holes through every cupboard and drawer from when there were locks on all the drawers. They dont fit properly in the kitchen and are the biggest eye sore of the house. The top cupboards in the kitchen are a fake wood and are semi OK so if I don't have to replace them I'd rather not. Does anyone have any ideas how I can either make this less hideous or find some very very cheap used or defected cupboards. I've already put an ad in the paper to no avail. I don't have alot of money to work with and this is for a rental. I realize for a rental it isn't really important how it looks but the fact that it doesnt fit and there are pieces of cut exposed metal is a bit dangerous. Please help me~!

I really like the look of Bamboo flooring, but I've read horror stories about some of the bad Bamboo that has found its way onto the market. Yanchi certainly seems to be doing all the right stuff (e.g. ISO 9002 certification) and the reviews on the web site are excellent. However, I take those with a huge grain of salt. Is Yanchi a premium product like they claim it to be?
