With white and beige, you can go crazy...any color will work but avoid dark colors unless you have a lot of light..hard to work in... something in green or blue is soothing and easy to change later and you can add a lot of bright accents like pictures, canisters, curtains or potted plants.

I once painted my kitchen bright shiny red on top and white to match the cabinets on the bottom. I had wood floors. I had lots of red stuff including a mixer and tea pot. And a large painting with a vase of bright colored flowers on it.. Everyone went nutty over it.Except my landlady.
Look at what colors you have or want to have in dishtowels, dishes. Use that as an accent or use it as the main color. Get wild, if you want. You can paint over it easy enough.
Life is too short for beige. Do what you would do if you weren't afraid.

In my old house I had white cabinets. I painted the walls a seafoam green color and the ceiling a sky blue. It turned out great! It really opened up the kitchen because it was pretty small. I got the idea from a magazine.

With those neutral colors, possibilities are endless! Did you ever consider wallpaper to really spruce it up? I LOVE wallpaper in kitchens and baths. I put a beautiful burgandy stripe..yep burgandy..LOL..in mine last year, and I love it. It's so warm and inviting. With your white cabinets one of the deep, jewel tone colors would really make a big impact. Keep in mind what other rooms open into your kitchen too before deciding on anything..you don't want any major clashing:)Good Luck!

love the salmon idea..also love terra cotta, if you have a lot of windows,or a pretty slate gray.. along with the white cabinets, the deeper colors will work..i found some copper tiles to put on my backsplash, along with white or beige would looke super with either the salmon or terra cotta..found them in a catalogue i just got in the mail, they are cuttable with scissors and easy to install...the website for the catalogue is www.ImprovementsCatalog.com..
good luck

your kitchen sounds like it's crying out for only one color YELLOW........it cheers you up every time you enter it, and there are so many varied shades of it there's bound to be one you will really like!!!!!! the beige flooring is what really sets the tone for your color selection, so do stay with warm colors if you don't care for yellow; peaches, corals, tans, browns, etc...any accessories could be in those same colors...email me if you have any further questions!!!!!! Good luck..

My dining room is sage green and beige with white trim. It looks so nice and I get a lot of compliments on it.

I would say a nice salmon color pretty but not girly, unexpected but not weird, cheerful but relaxing, and the white cabinets will really pop against it.

A light blue would be nice. I've always liked a blue kitchen.

You could bring in purple, green, or even red. Try a splash of all.
Sound a lot like my kitchen and I added red, black, and green.
