I have had the same problem and have tried most supermarket cleaners. The best by far is 'Mr Sheen spray and mop floor cleaner' it is especially for laminate and wood floors. I have not had a problem with smears using this. Good luck!

There are all kinds of products sold for cleaning laminate floors. The problem is the same company that sells you the cleaner is also the same company that sells you the re-finisher. Although laminate is a durable floor. the finish can be damaged by harsh cleaners. Also remember laminate is WOOD, getting too much water or any other liquid in the joints may cause your floor to warp or buckle. Now to answer your question Swifter. the one with the spray on it. It allows only a mist of cleaner, and allows you to wipe it away with out letting it sit too long. If you use other cleaners that leave streaks, The swifter will take them away....

if you take a good look at laminate, you will see that it is made with glued pieces of wood, with a photo of wood grain glued to the surface giving it the wood look. i have laminate, the best way to clean is with the 'Swifter' dry. if you spill liquids on it, immediately wipe dry.
