Specifically, is there a certain brand of dust mop that will pick up the floor dust that can also be reused or washed?

I recently answered this question for laminate flooring. Swifter is easy and simple. The one with the spray bottle. Just spray and wipe. If you need to use another cleaner for stains such as liquid gold, or murphy"s oil, swifter will take away the steaks these product leave behind....

We are now using the swiffer cleaners and a special solution to apply. Murphy's will leave an oily film over time. Your local hardware store or wally-world mart should have a good cleaner. Better ones come from floorcovering stores although.

on my hardwood floors, murphys oil soap, a dust mop with some spay for furniture will do a quick clean up..i like melaleuca furniture polish, non aerosol for mine..
