It is a small room, so I don't want to go too dark, unless maybe it was an accent wall. We have brown microsuede furniture. & we are going to put in a light brown/neutral carpet. What goes great with brown?

When you rearrange you house a certain way. Has something to do with energies and hot spots. I was wanting to say Zen but I know that is not it.

So when my boyfriend graduated, his dad and went and put together a huge collage/picture board for him that had about 200+ pictures of him and his family ever since he was born. We stuck the pictures on a huge piece of wood (probably about 3.5'X4'). We just stuck them on with sticky tack because we thought we would just take it down after his party. Well he like it so much that he wanted to keep it and have it "framed" or put glass or some kind of protective thing over it. Well, we have never gotten around to it yet, and don't really know how much it will cost, or what it all involves, or even where to look for something like that. I decided that I want to surprise him for Valentines Day and get it finished/covered. I've gone onto like Home Depots and Menards websites and it is no help. Can someone help me? How much will it cost? Any ideas on what it involves and what I have to do? Where I would go to get something like that bought or done? Any suggestions are open please....

I am looking to re-tile my girlfriends bathroom, and want to know the easiest way of doing it without completly messing up the wall underneath. I've done it before, but we were getting the wall re-plastered so it didn't matter so much. She want's to keep the cost down as much as possible, and tiling over the top of the existing ones isn't an option

Hi, I have to start budgeting to have an enclosed porch put on the back of my house,a single story ranch type. It will be a straightforward building,12x16 constructed on top of a platform much like a deck (to be constructed), standard framing, metal shed type roof. Four vinyl windows, plus sliding doors. The interior would be finished by us to cut costs. I know I will need estimates from professionals as costs vary widely. But I just need a VERY rough idea of what it might cost. Located in the Hudson Valley NY. Thanks

The wallpaper has been up now for about 8 weeks. It is really good quality but bubbled shortly after. Will I need to replace the piece or does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of them?

hi, i'm going to be starting an ebay store soon and would love some store name suggestions and advice.

My store is going to contain funky thrift store-flea market-antique-vintage stuff for the home. I love going and looking for cute stuff that others pass over that are incredible finds. Think french country, shabby, old, rusted with character.

I am having trouble naming the store- would like the name to include either flea, shabby, vintage something like that so people will get an idea that it is good stuff and not just crap. Something girly and catchy.

The Shabby Flea?

Flea For You?

thanks!!

My boyfriend and I are painting his apartment and attempting to experiment with a few creative designs. I started this really awesome art nouveau inspired design with space and lines (however vague that sounds), but the lines won't stop bleeding through the tape. I outlined my designs with masking tape, lightly and carefully painted them in, waited for the paint to dry, and removed the masking. Each time, my lines were frayed and appeared lacey and bled. We're trying to achieve a pristine, professional-looking effect. We've tried just about everything the either of us could think of combined. What can be done to pull off the look of the effect we're going for with clean, straight-edged (unbled) lines?

We just got a Corian solid surface kitchen countertop installed. Even with the brand new surface, the certain dullness of resin material is evident. Is there any way to treat a solid surface so that it would shine more, much like its granite couterpart?

Im working on the floor plans of an apartment/clubhouse and I was wondering if in the typical apartment floor plans, is it ok if i just show the unit partitions alone and provide typical unit blow-ups? Or do i have to include bathroom walls as well as other wall partitions within the unit for my typical floor plan?
