I was unclear as to what it was,it is a pre finshed 3/4 Bruce hard wood floor, when it was installed it was warm weather, this floor is installed up stairs as my basement is heated, all of a sudden you could almost drop a dime through the gaps in some of the boards,is this with the installer or Bruce ? Thanks for all the answers !

I live in Rockingham county. To my knowledge, my town has no unusual building code restrictions.

I have an unfinished basement - cement walls. Rather than do a formal finished basement, I was wondering if it would violate building codes to either (1) tile the walls (tile direct to cement), or (b) use laminate tiles (like you would for flooring).

Please respond only if you have specific knowledge of building codes.

Thanks!

I was having a room remodelled. The contractor removed the whole room, floor to roof, then charged me an additional $10,000. Then he did not build the roof to plan among other things, so I let him go. now he has a lien on my house and is threatening to sue, is this legal?

Blinds are usually hung at the top of a window and then pulled down. However I want a bling which rises so that sometimes I can have the top of the window open (to let in light) but the bottom obscured (for privacy). But I cannot find such a thing anywhere. Do they exist?

Any idea where it might have been made, or what it's worth? How would you describe it if you had to sell it in a classified ad?
