I want to paint kitchen but I'm not sure of the new color trends. The tile floor is white as well as the cabinets. The counter tops are a slate blue/grey. Right now the wall color is light yellow.

I am wanting to remodel my living room and my theme is magnolias. I want burgundy carpet, with likea creme colored paint for the walls. How do you all think that will look together? Right now I have old hardwood flooring with white painted walls. And I am totally tired of white walls, they are hard to keep clean with a 7 and 8 year old kids. So anyone who can help please do so. Also I have a huge blue sectional couch in the room and my furniture is mostly cherry oak like my coffee table and end tables.

I am planning to have a 50's diner styled room, and it would be best if I could find a black and white checkered comforter, or duvet. I'm hoping to find a large checker board like comfortable, but so far, I've got nothing. Any good websites or stores that I should look at?

im about to move into a nw house and the bedroom has a bright orange carpet, orange curtains and orange walls. What colours would suit orange? Its very bright but kind of a burnt orange rather than a vibrant colour.
Any help greatly appreciated :-)

hi! I need some help with decorating my bedroom. My comforter is a bright pink color, (the brand is seventeen) and my furniture is cherry wood, with a more "princess" kind of theme, since its a sleigh bed, with kind of fancy clear knobs. I just got the set not too long ago, when we moved into our new house. The walls are STILL white, and so boring. I feel as if my new room i was looking forward to, isnt anything special. I am a teenager, and i want a more teenage kind of room, rather than a little girls. How can i do this with the bed set i have? I really need some opinions on colors for my walls. I was thinking maybe light purple, even though its not in my comforter, and just adding purple throw pillows to accent the room. I was also thinking of getting a white duvet cover, and painting my walls a light blue color, but i cant seem to find any fair priced duvet covers. Any idea where to find these? What do you think of the purple idea?any other colors u think would go with my set?

We just got a quote to put new windows on our house. Our current windows are 'construction grade' single pane windows (the house is 25 years old). The new windows will be double pane, low-e, argon filled window units. Doing the whole house will cost almost $9000.

Will be see enough difference in the utility bills to recoup the cost? They promise a %35 decrease, but that would take 8-10 years. Will we feel a difference in the comfort level in the house? Will it increase the value of our house?

Without taking all year or mesing up?
Also not using masking tape as that will take the paint off my ceiling.

I change both my sheets and pillow cases every day, it's a lot of extra laundry, but i think it's worth it. I have known people that wait days, and in some cases, weeks. What's your confession?

One of those rollers with side protectors so I can easily paint around ceilings and skirting boards.
In the UK. I've looked on Ebay but I don't know what the actual name for these devices is.

Not metal grid. Not cubes you just stack, but a wall system that will fill an entire wall

i just got my room painted light pink and i put on my new bedding yesterday. but now that its up my mom thinks that i should have green shams instead of white(im 14) and so my room was supposed to be pink and white. my sheets are pink with white polka dots, my bedding is pink and so is my lamp. so i think that my shams should be white but she thinks that they should be green to add color(even though it doesnt match nicely like the white) so what do you think white or green shams?

this is my pink quilt(my shams are the same "crinkle puff" and they are white like i already said) and pink toss pillow
