Is it like painting a regular wall or is there a special brush or roller that I need to buy?

Could I paint the glass lampshades (I'm not sure they're called glass lampshades, but this is the best way I know to describe them), to add the needed color? They are the same type of shades you see covering the lightbulbs on the 4-way lights on ceiling fans. Thank you!

We are renovation each room in our manufactered home, and ALL the walls have more liquid nails attached than we woudl like. Is there some chemical or something out there that gets rid of or at least makes it easy to remove liquid nails?

I'm not so worried about taking the walls or anything attached to it down (as we are trying to make the inside look like a real home before we get re-stationed)

Thank you so much!

My living room and bedroom are all one room.... what would make a good divider? A curtain type hanging or a board-type divider or something I can store something in as well as space is minimal... any ideas? I really want to make my bed area still feel like a private sanctuary and just a place to sleep etc.! Thanks

I recently bought a Dockers Home comforter set, basically a bed in a bag, but its only a 180 thread count for the comforter. Is that good or just made cheaply? I have kinda the same one right now on my bed, and its lasted me 6 years so far but is deteriorating fast, lol. Is this one I bought ok? Heres a link of what I got - http://www.kohls.com/products/product_page_multiple0.jsp?PRODUCT<>prd_id=422131579&FOLDER<>folder_id=56063433&prtID=pfx&src=k65590&cm_mmc=Performics-_-Affiliate-_-Become.com-_-DDI%20Link_12.19.06

I painted the trim in my room a few hours ago, using a latex primer and a latex paint. The paint has dried, but there's still a slight smell in the room. I've opted to not sleep in there this evening, but was wondering if there was a standard amount of time to wait before spending extended amounts of time in a freshly-painted room.

I live in an apartment and my children have drawn on their bedroom wall with permanent red marker. I got permission from the apartment manager to repaint the room. However, I can only use White Latex Primer. I have done 3 coats already, and still the red marker bleeds through. Is there anything that will help me get the primer to cover this up or get rid of the stain?

My parents are moving to a new house and I want to help them renovate their living room. Here are a couple photos.

We need to buy a new tv cabinet, carpets, a couple single seaters that compliment the couch. We can also paint the walls and change the lighting.

I cant afford to change the carpets so we need to work with that. We have a couch which looks like the photo below but larger (2 1/2 seater). Id like to keep that as well

We also have a coffee table which a dark brown color. Keeping it is optional but ideally we can make it work.

We have Ikea and we may get some of the furniture from there. We are not going for a specific look. Basically im looking for advice on colors to paint, what style of furniture we should get and what colors they should be.But any advice would be useful.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 9 year old daughter who wants a dolphin themed room. I would like to broaden the theme a little more and go with an ocean theme. We have already picked out an ocean blue/green for the walls. I would like some other decorating ideas other than murals and I would really like to see pictures.

I know most of the standard codes but am trying to get a few details about things like depth of footings. In MI here it is at least 42" Also was wondering if there are any other things to be aware of like drainge, radon gas, termite protection etc.
