a lighter type of wood flooring would suit this situation as the lighter the floor colour the larger the room area will seem

go for rosewood
it's slightly red but will set off the beech really well
i have and wow (it made the beech look more expensive)

pecan or any of the lighter, honey-colored, options. Unless you're going for contrast, and then I would suggest espresso brown.

light oak is best it hide marks aswell
