Browns really compliment the color orange really well. Also some off white or creams. I have an orange coach and I put brown accents on them and everyone loves them. Hope it works out!

Seriously, i would tone those walls down either one each side if not all of them with a very delicate peach colour. Also you could leave the bottom half of the walls and paint just the top half delicate peach and find a beige border to break it up. I think that either of my suggestions would be really suitable and cheaper than replacing the carpet and curtains.
Good luck - I love decorating

I think I'd paint the walls a cream color. Bring in other colors with your bedding and artwork. If you're a wallpaper enthusiast, you could probably find a nice wallpaper with a touch of burnt orange for coordination. Check out www.decoratetoday.com for great wallpaper choices...you can sort on color and all sorts of things.

Look at nature, Orange in flowers have greens, yellows and browns. They also have reds, and pinks. Pick a beautiful picture to hang up, and let that be your guide.

Well blue and orange are complimentary colour but sounds like it needs to be toned down so I'd go for something neutral like magnolia or white.

orange...its a strong colour, so maybe a demure colour would be a good contrast. White walls would look quite contemporary with brown wooden furniture?

You know, when you've been Tangoed!
Green is the most appropriate colour to counter-balance orange.
