Should you always go for white wood shutters if your window trim is white?

My related questions is this-- what direction are those windows facing...and which room is involved.... if West-- for sure white because it deflects heat from the sun. If North-- depends on what you want to look at-- South-- if you don't have much overhang over the window-- go with the West answer..... East-- doesn't matter-- you want sun blocking unless you want to wake up really early every day.....

Otherwise-- do what you want the room to look like. It might help to visualize by putting white curtains/bedsheet over the window-- lay on the bed and check it out.....
