i just got my room painted light pink and i put on my new bedding yesterday. but now that its up my mom thinks that i should have green shams instead of white(im 14) and so my room was supposed to be pink and white. my sheets are pink with white polka dots, my bedding is pink and so is my lamp. so i think that my shams should be white but she thinks that they should be green to add color(even though it doesnt match nicely like the white) so what do you think white or green shams?

this is my pink quilt(my shams are the same "crinkle puff" and they are white like i already said) and pink toss pillow

From the picture I think that is a pretty green It will match well if you add other green accents maybe a rug by your bed and a few green accent pillows and maybe find picture or painting that will bring all the colors together and I love the design of your bedding

I would either stick with just the Pink and White or add more than just the shams as an accent color. Your mom has the right idea of bringing in more color, but just the shams would look kinda weird. I would add shams, candles, lamp, and other nic nacs of green. It would make it kinda preppy like Old Navy style or Victoria Secrets Spring line. I hope this helps you out. Good luck! I added some links that should give you some ideas.

Since the room is yours, I believe the choice of color should be yours. You only mentioned shams to be green (possibly) so what will they match or even blend with within all the pink and white? Enjoy your room.

I looked at the colours available to you at the pbteen.com site and feel that the purple would be a good accent colour with the pink. Perhaps you could use white shams and add something purple. This would give you that "Princess" look. Don't forget that purple is the colour for royalty!! Good luck sweetie!

I would do one wall a pale lime green, otherwise you will feel like your living in a wad of bubble gum. Your Mom is right and you can use the white but you definatly need another color, maybe you could also have lime green (or pale) sheets for balance if you paint say the wall your bed is on. Good Luck, have Fun!

i would stick to the white shams but if your mom insists on another color then mauve shams will look pretty nice and if you want a real girly look then pink and shocking pink combo is also striking.pinks, mauves ,shocking pinks,a dash of silver these blended together look good.all the best.

Your mom must be pretty "loud" to want those colors mixed. I'd definitely stay with the white.
