I have to buy a new frige and stove for my new house. There is already a stainless steel dishwasher in there. So I am getting a stainless frige and stove. The appliances will all be lined up along the same wall. Should I try to get the frige and stove of the same brand or is it only the color that matters?

I want to paint mine, but I wonder if anybody has used any of the specialist paints that are available? Are the "all-in-one, no undercoat needed" types any good? Has anybody done it and found the paint chipped or peeled - which paint did you use?
I have quite a lots of cupboards so want to make a good job of it 1st time round, any tips would be helpful!

Need to replace a bathroom vent/light unit but all in the stores have exhaust port coming from the short side of the unit - I do not want to have to cut into drywall to match the exhaust port - are there any vents that are convertible. (Current exhaust/light unit is rectangular not square and connects to an opening that draws the air to the outside - problem is the opening on any units I have found is on the shorter side of the rectangular unit)HELP

I am getting ready to have our whole house painted inside and I am thinking about hiring it done. We want to add some color to the walls and we were wondering about how much it would cost to have a 2,000sq ft. home with 9' ceilings painted. I have never hired anyone to do painting before so I don't have a clue what paint and labor would cost me.
