I'd totally prefer a shower door, but I've got a window frame that encroaches into my tub a couple inches and without big $$$ spent redoing the wall, changing the window, stucco outside, etc. etc. etc. I can't have a shower door by the looks of it.

Anyway... problem is that with this window frame where it is we have to put the shower rod ABOVE it (or it just falls down because of the ridges in the window frame.) Putting it above though makes the shower curtain WAY too short at the bottom. (Barely touches the tub.)

My Dad told me about this curved shower curtain rod made by Moen that he heard about. I found one at Home Depot for $30 and we haven't hung it up yet, but it sounds like this might solve my problem...

Looking at it though I'm worried that the centre of gravity on it might be in a wacky place and that it might want to sag in the middle...

Before I hang it has anyone used one?
Are you happy with it?

Thanks for your help!!

Hi, I'm expecting a baby in March next year & to save money on a new nursery/bedroom range I decided to use my old bedroom suite which was black ash (yes very 80's I know) & paint it white as the walls are a pastel green. I got some special Melamine/MDF paint from B&Q & slapped on a few coats.
It looks great & I had fun hanging up the ickle clothes I'd bought so far on their hangers but I cannot get rid of the smell of the paint & the clothes are smelling of it too now.
I'd left the doors & everything open for about 2/3wks before hanging anything in the hope the smell would have gone/faded except it hasn't & I've even tried stick on air freshners inside but it's not working. Anybody got any ideas on getting rid of the paint smell?

I just recently bough a townhouse and it is supposed to be three bedrooms but the people who owned it before me got the bright idea to make a huge opening in one of the walls so it is open to the living room and they turned it into their dining room. I want to turn it back into a bedroom but I don't know what I need to do to fill the wall back in. The base floor is concrete. Thanks a lot!!

I have a brown leather sofa, two matching chairs, and a red/gold area rug. I want an uncluttered look, but have too much stuff in the room. Where do I begin? Is it best to start with the wall color or art or something else?

I would like either an extension or a conservatory, it would only be small, about 3 metres x 2 metres and would only need building up on the front and to one side as it will fit into a corner created by two existing buildings i am on a budget so which option would be cheaper and a ball parl price would be nice

Demolition is to start tomorrow & will last 2 days. Everything in the bathroom will be removed & hauled to the dump by the contractor. The sink and fixtures for the tub, shower & sink are the only things which won't be replaced.

The price includes reinstallation, replacing copper lines & joists, painting walls & ceiling. Greenboard is to be used behind the tub & Hardiboard thinset to subfloor & screwed to subfloor.

The entire job will last two weeks.

I tried to paint a steel rod last weekend. I left the steel rod on top of few newspapers.

Now the same problem, newspaper is sticking on the steel rod. I couldn’t peel it off very easily.

Are there any ways I can use it to take of these sticking newspapers?

Say I accidentally drank some paint. Then lets say as a solution I accidentally drank some paint remover. Think that will work and I would be ok?
