The trick is to keep things minimual. Go to your favorite store and look at how they showcase their merchandise. It is with the effect that less is more. Put a few of your favorites in the showcase. To add drama or flair use scraps of material, poporri, Fallen leaves, fake snow. Change your items in the display, just like stores do with the changing seasons and play off that.
