There are lots of plants that will grow in water only (pothos, ivys, ahoya, lucky bamboo). But most require some sun. Zz (or is it Zeze?) plants have low light requirements, but I don't know if they will do o.k. just in water since they can do with very little water,

What you need is an Air Plant.
They don't have soil, and you don't need to water them iether, just give them a slight spray every so often.

im not sure but i think bamboo!
also there is a plant that you can get that you also buy a beta (?)fish with and the fish eats off the roots of the plant-but i cant remember the name of the plant sorry!!

Ivy does well this way...you'll have to trim away the roots that will grow from time to time to keep it healthy.
