I'm trying to purchase new carport for a 1,440 square foot area of my home. How is carpet sold in the stores and how much would I need? I was told it is generally sold in square yards, is this true?
Anyone familiar with carpet instillation please help me!!!

We end up shampooing it 3 times a year. I'd like to put in a hard surface but we are on pilings and the first level. I'm afraid it may be too cold during the winter months. Also would the building movement during a storm cause a problem if we added a hard surface. I guess we could add area rugs when it's colder down in NC.

We are getting a new house soon and it has a 25 by 16 foot studio. We are planning to turn it into a gamesroom, a few ideas will be useful. Try not to go too expensive.
Also not too jammed.
Along with a gamesroom it is also a utility room (lol), so keep that in mind.
The current ideas are(I will add to this later!):
Pool Table
Old Duke Box
Table Tennis Table
Dart Board

p.s - no bars!

I have a metal front door that needs painted on the outside badly. I am no expert in this department. I know I need a paint that will cover metal but how I do I put it on? Can I use a roller like I did my inside walls or can I spray paint the outside door. Any suggestions would be great.

...elegantly drape a decroative throw over a piece of furniture, say a sofa or an upholstered bench at the end of your bed? Every time I try to drape mine it ends up looking clunky and unprofessional. Any advice would be welcomed and appreciated!

I was just wondering if there were any new types of flooring out there other than carpet or linoleum, that would work well in a dining area with chairs that have casters. Our carpet is getting bad and I would need something that doesn't make a lot of noise and wouldn't get damaged from the casters.
