I just bought a small fixer upper that has basic white siding and black trim, shutters and eavetroughs. What colors would give it updated curb appeal? Thanks

Try the paint visualizer from Sherwin Williams - just pick the style of house closest to yours and they suggest color combinations and it lets you try all different colors:

What color do you like? You have a wide range to choose from. I would go with beige since the trim is black, unless you want to paint the shutters as well. Some people like soft yellow colors, blues, etc. Please dont paint is pink though. LOL

It dependson the style of the home, and the other houses around it. I personally think that small houses look cute and homey as a light, creamy yellow. Also light blue. White is good to, but may begin to look dirty.

If you have a small house definitely use light colors. not dark colors cause that would make your house look too small and cramped.

A mossy green would be beautiful, and if you put in some great landscaping, it would really set it off and give it a "cottage-type" feel. Sounds fun!! I am jealous!! Good luck!!
