I have pictures of family on the wall and a iron art thingy. What kinds of plant could you suggest that doesn't need too much tending to?

Ivy is really hardy and so is aloe as long as you have enough light coming in....
As far as clutter, take out what you dont use/need...think of a different way to rearrange your furniture by picking a new focal point...

First I would move the family pictures to a less public room in the house.Move the furniture out from the walls and form a conversation group with 2 chairs, your couch, a large Ottoman or coffee table. Place this arrangement on a large area rug.In 1 corner you could place a louvered folding screen and back light it with an up light. Place something interesting in front of the screen. In another empty area you could place a Kentia palm and put a up light behind it. ( good light, but not strong sunlight..watch for red spiders in drier homes..don't use leaf shine ) If you have a buffet in your dining room, bring it into the room.Place it opposite a window . Add a mirror above it to reflect the light. Place a large fern in a decorative container on it,and a tall table lamp.Paint the room in warm colors For art works, just paint some artist canvases in three colors used in your room and hang them up until you find some art you love.Get or make throw pillows with the colors of the canvases to give the room some cohesiveness.

I know you love your family, but some people prefer to use the hall or bedroom for family pictures. If you get a large painting, it will help reduce the clutter. Also, paint one wall a very light color. This will make the room appear larger. Any type of ivy is always a good choice for a indoor plant. Just water it when it gets dry. I had a very pretty ficus plant in my living room. I set it outside to get some fresh air and someone stole it. Sob, Sob.

wish I did have an answer for you yet my teenage daughter is rather untidy too. (this is rather a real understatement!) i ought to speak up for those styles of mums that have become the blame because it won't be our fault! i've got in no way taught my daughter to be untidy and leave her outfits (the two sparkling and grimy) throughout her grimy floor in her filthy mattress room. something of the home is tidy and that i save it sparkling yet has this inspired my daughter? No, in no way. She gets relatively offended with me if I even bypass into her room to open a window (no longer that i will get around the room to the window, the piles on the floor are so undesirable!) My friends tell me this is a level which will bypass and that i basically wish they're right. In years yet to come whilst my daughter has a severe high quality tidy, sparkling living house i'll bypass to for each week or so and trash the situation so she is conscious of what it feels like! of path I in all possibility won't try this notwithstanding this is severe high quality to plot slightly gentle revenge! i think of we've basically have been given to settle for that some human beings do no longer look to even observe how untidy they're and we ought to continuously save loving them or, if we gained't try this, they're going to ought to discover their own place to make a large number of.
