Place rolled up washcloths in it in the bathroom. Also good for small sample bars of soap like you get at hotels. Or "guest" type soaps.

Buy assorted votive candles and store them in the basket until you are ready to burn them (burn in candle holder, not the basket). They will look pretty and smell good too.

Store your TV remote controls in the basket.

Fill basket with potpourri.
If basket is large enough, store magazines and books in it.
Store pens and pencils in it.

We have placed a small wicker basket in front of our TV and use it for placing all our remotes in it. No more searching for remotes and the basket with its ribbon looks good.

I have all different types of baskets all over my house w/ different uses. On my coffee table I have one that looks like an American Flag w/ potpurri in. On the back of my toilet is one an extra hand towel and wash cloth in it, its just wicker w/ a green rim. I have an extra large one on the floor in my bedroom that I put dirty laundry in. I have another one shaped like a treasure chest on a shelf in my bathroom that I hide q-tips in. And I have a square one in between my couch and loveseat that I keep books, magazines, and remotes in. I keep another one of a shelf in my dining room that I put mail in that needs to be sorted.

I HAVE USED MINE TO SET FLOWER POTS IN TO COVER THEM UP & TO STORE MY PINECONE FIRE STARTERS IN BUT NOT NEAR THE WOOD STOVE. IF YOU LIKE HANGING THINGS YOU CAN HANG THEM TO STORE OR DISPLAY A LOT OF THINGS BUT DEPENDING ON THE BASKET YOU MIGHT NEED A WAY TO SUPPORT THEM. IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SHAPE THEY COULD BE A SHADE FOR A LOW WATTAGE LAMP.
