Is there somewhere that sends someone out to your house first to give you advice, then installs it all for not too much money? I have a budget of about 3k for a fairly small bathroom.

I am redoing a room. Should it be painted before new carpeting? I want the baseboards nicely painted. Just not sure what should be done first.

The left side top of the window is lower than the right. I cannot hang a rod as anything I put on it will just slope to the lower side. I am willing to try almost anything that will look good.

I just bought a house with light-colored marble floors. It has an open design with living room, dining room and kitchen all on the first floor. There is plenty of natural light, as there are floor to ceiling windows on one side of the living room. We wish to repaint the walls, and are thinking of a faux sandstone finish, but have no idea what colors to use. Advice, please!

I like to recycle pretty wine, olive oil, etc. bottles for flower vases, but the labels are hard to remove. I usually soak them in warm water, scrape what I can with my fingernails, and use Goo Gone for the adhesive. Is there an easier way?

We have taken up our living room and dining room carpeting, and are weighing options for a new floor. We might use Epoxyshield and then area rugs, if we can get a look similar to terrazzo.

Is it best to use a brush or a roller for painting mouldings? I plan to paint the crown moulding and chair rail before it is placed on the wall and then touch it up since the walls and ceiling have already been painted. Is there a specific roller or brush that will allow me to sweep across the mouldings quickly? I figured a brush could work, but I thought perhaps a roller would be a lot faster and wouldn't show the same streaks.
