I have a blank wall, about 10' wide x 8' tall. I am going to put about 10-12 framed pictures on it, all 4x6" photos, and all the frames are the same. They are all landscape (horizontal). What is the best way to arrange the pictures on the wall - should they be scattered, or two rows perfectly in line with each other?? Looking for some thoughts from decorating minded people, which I am not! THanks!!

I want one of those pointed-on-top canopy nets that hangs from the ceiling but I have ceiling fans. Is there any way around this? All ideas welcome.

My son is 9 and told me he would like his room to look like he's living underwater and his bed to be like a submarine he can "hide" in. He's going away for 3 weeks and we want to surprise him when he gets home. Any ideas how to make this happen on a very tight budget? He already has a blue carpet...

i build houses for a living. i have a customer that wants a house remodeled. some of the exterior of the house has lead paint (which will have to be removed). i have been reading on the net about the dangers of lead paint, but everything i see talks about long term exposure. not one site i looked at said anything about short term. so is there any danger with being exposed to lead paint for around a month or so?

I have about 407 sq ft total I want done and will probably go with somebody like Home Depot, Lowe's, Lumber Liquidators, etc.

So besides the cost of the flooring, about how much do they charge per sq ft for installation?

I am not a real fan of granite but it seems like this is about all you see now. I'm building a new home and am trying to decide which surface (sink stains/scratches) will wear better. I haven't lived with either one but mainly don't want to "baby" the counter material . . . just use the heck out of it? Any recommendations from someone who's lived with granite or another surface?
