If you have a small piece of the carpeting, take it to your local paint store. Have it tinted just slightly in that color.

By painting the walls in a lighter shade of your carpet, it will give a more unified "feeling", you wont notice the carpet or the walls, it will seem continuous.

I would paint the trim,(if it has been painted) a glossy white paint. If it is wood, leave it, the richness of the wood would be great with those colors. Rich wood colors really work well with lighter, pastel shades.

If you have room bring in floor plants to give the hallway some "life".

Good Luck and have fun!!!!

A neutral color in the white / beige group. I think to add color to it would be too busy. After painting, hang a gypsy quilt or piece of art that ties the entry together. "Simplicity is the mark of good taste"

i don't know what the style of your home is but white goes well with pink and i would think that a nice wall border with some pink in it would tie it all together...some gold fixtures...like pictures with gold frames would look very elegant!!
