I have a complaint about the Home Depot in Fuquay Varina, NC. In the garden section there is never anyone willing to help you whether you ask or not. I had to go a week ago to get paver blocks for building a walkway, I had to get 150 of these things. I get there & the only people out there are the ladies at the registers, so I look around for the guys that help & no one to be found. I go to the blocks that I need with my "flatbed" cart & start piling them on. All the while I'm doing this which takes about 40 minutes, maybe longer, not one single person comes over nor do I even see any of the guys that work out there. So finally I get my 150 blocks piled on there & try & push the cart to the register. I get them up there & pay & say I need help loading them to the truck. The lady never calls a single person as I wait there & so I have to take the blocks to my truck where I have to unload them all into the truck bed by myself. This is where I learnt hat chivalry is dead also because all these people walk by & just stare at me & never once offers help. Anyway, sorry for the rambling, but I will start driving the 20 extra minutes to Lowes & see how their service is from now on.

Hahaha!! D, you must be the ONE nice salesperson Brown Eyed Girl was talking about. I haven't discovered one, yet. Maybe you should forward this e-mail or print it out for your Home Depot's HQ. Because seriously, across the United States, eeeeeeeveryone has the same exact complaints. You can't find a salesperson, and when you DO find one who was hiding (not at lunch), they can''t WAIT to get rid of you and make sure you feel their resentment. You're on your own when you walk into a Home Depot. Guess that's what they mean by "self-help"

Well I don't know if it is the same everywhere but here Home Depot is horrible and Lowes is great. They both carry good products but the service at Home Depot is horrendous! They normally only have 1 maybe 2 checkout lanes open and it takes forever to get out of there. Finding floor crew at HD is impossible, but Lowes you have one person in each department. There are some things that HD carries that Lowe's does not, but I ALWAYS check Lowes first. Just for less hassle.

I HATE Home Depot. I am in complete agreement that no one who works there seems to know a thing about the products they sell, or where they are located. The checkers are slow at best, if you can even find an open checkstand. But, if you go to use the self-checkout 10 people will come running, not to help you but to look over your shoulder and make sure you aren't stealing anything.
Oh, and their Behr paint is the worst paint EVER! Seriously people, go to Dunn Edwards.
I also hate the hot dog vendors they have out front. If you have to be in the store so long that you need to eat, they obviously aren't being efficient.

I can never find anything that I need at home depot. They need some serious help with their workers. There never seems to be anyone around to help.
I walk aimlessly around the store until I give up and start walking towards the exit. Then and only then, do I walk past the aisle where all the employees seem to be hiding so they dont actually have to work. Then they look at you like, what the h#ll do you want???
It amazes me everytime! I get so frustrated that I end up leaving.

1. Most aren't open 24/7
2. No valet parking
3. No tour guides
4. No elderly women (NO OFFENSE MEANT) with little Kiosks handing out snack samples.
5. No hanging TV's running Home improvement shows on loops.
6. Not enough of them yet.
7. They pay well, even for newbies and part timers? (is that a bad thing?)
8. They were out of an item. (Hmmm, aren't so many stores, when ya really need it?)
9. I had to actually know what I wanted once,,, in case I found a clerk who didn't.
10. I'll get back to ya, if I ever have a real complaint.

Home Depot NEVER has a sales person avaialble to help you find stuff. I don't expect all the employees to be able to help me with with my home improvements projects, it would just be nice if they could tell me where in the store the item is that I'm looking for so I can get back to it. In a dream world, I would walk through the door, have a greeter (like Wal-Mart) Where I can say "I need a vaccum breaker valve for my garden hose" and he would say "aisle 3, next to the blah blah blah". That would he HEAVEN.

On the various occasions i've bin to Home Depot i get so frusturated because there is NEVER a sales person to help you. they lack sales people and it results to many people who just get mad and leave. When i went, i had to wait about 15 minutes to get some help on a simple question. There moto "You can do it, We can help" it completely bias because THEY CANT HELP!

They both say that there will always be some one ready to help you, but the salespeople NEVER ARE!! and if you do ask for help they treat you like you're stupid or mentally incompetent or something. I've only met ONE nice salesperson, seriously. and sometimes it's easy to get lost in there too... :/
