The salesperson told me that berber is not good if you have pets because they can pull the loops out of the carpet. I have a very small mini dachshund. Will she really ruin the rug?

we moved in about a year ago and i just LOATHE the nasty off-white/pale yellowish colors the default newly built homes with.

i'm playing off these gorgeous russet rose sheets and trying natural green walls.

i'm just looking for suggestions and a few tips to help me out,
i have no clue where to even start!

5) i also very unhappy with this room because it looks cliche and generic. how can i balance my adolescent accessories with a more mature, cleaned up feel?
(ie. organizing posters, framing pinned pictures, using a bulletin board, etc.)

4) the lighting in this room is terrible. it's a typical flush mount that gives off a dull orangy glow. what are some practical, modest lighting setups i can use in a small bedroom to give it a clear shine?

My dream is to buy this simple A-frame home with 1050 square feet between the main floor & upstairs level. Square footage is misleading due to the steeply sloping walls; useable floor space measures more like 850 sq ft. +/-.

All holding me back is finding a way to add-on another 500 square feet of space in a simple affordable manner! Want to add 1-2 windows on the steep side walls. There's no basement; this rocky site only allows for slab/crawl space. Roof is new; heavy thick corrugated fiberglass; challenging to cut/frame.

NOW...
Main floor: living area (at front), 8' galley kitchen & full bath+ washer & dryer hookups (in mid-section) & 1 bedrom+closet at the rear.

Upstairs: small open loft 4 feet deep has stairs on right. Beyond this a bedroom+closet.

Home's rear is the view side; looking off a rocky cliff to distant mountains with trees below. At night you see the "city" lights in the valley far below.

ANYONE HAVE AN A-FRAME?

LOVE TO HEAR ALL IDEAS! DW

I would like to do a crash course in painting and decorating. I would like the course to include plastering, tiling, wallpapering, carpet fitting, wood floor laying and kitchen fitting. I dont want to attend for longer than 2-3 months. I am not bothered if I recieve a certificate/qualification or not. What is important is that the course is of a high standard.

Can anyone recommend a good course in the Central London area?

Hi, I've just started a job for a painting firm who do up peoples houses. I've only been there for a few days so im on the supplies duty and have to go and get the paint and tools needed for each job. We are doing a house up north at the moment and the guy is a huge Newcastle fan and wants his kids room to be painted black and white stripes as a shrine to Newcastles toon army.

My boss has told me i need to get black and white striped paint for the walls but i cant get any anywhere. I dont want to ask my boss or collegues where to get it from as i dont want to come across as stupid and incompetant. If i cant even find the right paint on my own i doubt they will keep me on. I've trawled through the internet and hardware stores but no one seems to have it. There must be somewhere i can get it. i need it for the weekend.

To make it worse i've told my boss i've ordered it and its being delivered, if i dont find somewhere soon hes gonna know i've lied and sack me. PLEASE HELP!
