Keep his/her nails cut, and filed. and make shur you get a shorter< Berber Carpet.> So, It won't pull out the loops. I have 2 poms. and it a pain in but, if they don't like their nails done. after you cut his/her nails a few times and let your dog know who's the boss. it's not so bad. Just love on him/her and talk very gentle to your dog, while your cutting them. my dogs go to sleep while I cut their nails now.
Just talk to him/her and tell your dog she's going to be so pretty
they even let me polish their nails now....Yes they can ruin the carpet if you don't keep their nails done.
****make shur you you get a shorter berber
******************* Good luck !!!! *******************************

I have a Maltese and berber carpeting. No problems at all. He runs all over the house. I find that we mess the carpeting up more than he does.
Get a short berber, that is what we were told to get because of are dog.

It's true I had berber carpet in my hall and one of my dogs snagged it and pulled it about 10in before I stopped the dog from moving and got it unhooked from his nail.

We have pets and berber. we have never had any loops pulled out, but the stains are nearly impossible to get rid of.

She could and our mini doxie is usually trying to dig her way to China so I would imagine that would tear up berber.

they can be right. The same thing has happen to me and it made my place look trashy when it was all pulled. So I have converted my entire house to wood floors. Good Luck!

Keep talking to the landlord, perhaps they will have the carpet professionally cleaned or replaced.

If she digs, yes. Be sure to keep her nails trimmed, too, and you should be fine....unless she's accident prone

not if you keep her nails clipped properly. I think he was just trying to sell you something more expensive.
