I want to paint my kitchen walls and cabinets but dont know if the walls should be a little darker than the cabinets or maybe the walls light and the cabinets dark. Also I have paneling I want to paint so do I paint it a different color than the walls and cabinets.

My husband would like a pumpkin colored room (think Starbucks colors) and I can't seem to find the right shade. I looked online and found some great colors but when I went to Home Depot they looked completely different. I'm thinking of Sweet Mandarin (s-G-220) but a little lighter maybe? Can anyone help?

Also I'm thinking of adding a tiny area of a brighter orange. So if anyone can suggest a color that would look good with a Chartreuse (more yellow tones than green - think glow in the dark bone -lol)? The rooms would be seperated but I'd like them to look okay anyway.

Thank you!

How did you do it without it looking like just a twin mattress? Did you put it on a regular metal bed frame or a wooden platform? What kind of fabric did you cover it with? If you haven't done this, but have seen one, could you tell me about it? I am planning on doing this in a bedroom. Thanks. If you are just looking for quick points, please don't answer. Serious answers only please.

I am considering adding an extra room onto the back of my house. The room would be roughly 12 x 12 feet with a couple of windows. It would need electrical wiring, but not plumbing. I would like to have it extend off the master bedroom into the backyard (I plan to use it as an office). The house was built in the late 90s and is wood frame with stucco exterior and a spanish tile roof.

Has anybody in the Phoenix area ever done an extension to their home of this sort? Approximately how much would such an additional room cost and how long would it take to do?

Vinyl paper has a shiny surface and I think its not as easy as painting paper versions. I dont want to have to remove the existing paper as I just want a quick paint job to cover up the existing.

I found some hand towels for the bathroom that are white with large, Hawaiin style flowers printed on them in chocolate brown, blue and green. Am trying to find the matching bath towels and wash cloths.

It is a small room , we put a computer desk/shelf combo, added a small loveseat,a filing cabinet to hold , and going today to buy another entertainment center .

(we are removing the kids border of course)

(the one we have is too large, and the t.v. is old,,and we don't use the reference books , and the kids never play the games, nor watch the movies....)

So, I want to make this room,,,more updated, w/ a warm feeling.

I thought about a different taupe that is on it now,,

I want to make it comfy w/out having a theme per say..

I thought about adding palm tree decor but will that go out of style soon?

Should I flow my living room decor into this room? ( tuscany style/ slate tables, iron decor)

We have been remodeling, and have a concrete slab. There is an existing drain. Do we need to build a foundation for the shower stall to set on?
