Fabric is any cloth or other type of material used to cover furniture, make a garment, or other ways cloth material can be used and is fabricated for use. Fabric has many other definitions and the word can even be used in regard to metals, but you are referring to cloth here.
Leather is an excellent cover for a recliner. We've three in our home covered with leather. Tried various cloth fabrics on previous recliners and found they did not wear as well as leather. Corduroy is cheaper and wears fairly well, but fades easily and is not so comfortable depending on the amount of cording. Any upholstery fabric with patterns form floral to abstract makes a nice covering for a recliner if you want something that is not just one color.
Good luck hunting.

leather-depending is too slick. i'm getting settled contained in the chair or settee and then, if i'm wearing comfortable fabrics, I start up to slip after I lean decrease back. I a lot favor a velour or somewhat textured weave. i'm shorter than the human beings maximum furniture is designed for. at the same time as the intensity of the seat is too large i really do slide. The deeper the seat from the front to decrease back, the more effective in all likelihood i'm to slip to easily about reclining position. be particular you're taking a at the same time as and take a look into many chairs and many positions contained in the chairs you want. sit down lengthy sufficient to objective all the sit down, slouch, recline positions you're in all likelihood to apply. note how common they're to get out and in of, and how common to maintain your favourite reclining position, too. pay interest to the cloth as you try the chairs. See if any fabrics feels particularly comfortable to you.

Come on,,,sigh. Leather is a flesh, skin, covering of an animal, typically COW for furniture.
Fabrics can be natural, IE: Cotton, Linen, Silk, all organic based, OR fabric can be, and often is synthetic,,,IE: Polyester, for use in furniture as a more durable substance.

Forget the LazyBoy and go for an overstuffed chair with an ottoman. Much classier.
