I don't hae a lot of time due to two full time jobs and school. I have about 1 1/2 hours a week that I can dedicate to cleaning. Luckily, I have a one bedroom condo that is pretty small. Any ideas on a cleaning strategy? Thanks!

After washing towels for quite sometime, they mostly end up with BLACK PATCH on the centre. What is that? Why it appears? Something wrong with my washing machine? I did the towel laundry separately from other clothings.

I bought a medium hoodie and i would like to shrink it to a small. I just washed it but i didn't shrink much. It's 80% cotton and on the inside of the sleeves its lined with polyester. How could I shrink it? Do you guys think if i soak it in hot water and without drying wringing it out and getting some of the water out just put it in the dryer? Or will that ruin the jacket?

Just curious why so many people try to clean their own carpets instead of hiring a professional carpet cleaner,

Does any have any suggestions for getting gum out of a washing machine and carpet? My roommate washed a packed in with his clothes and it's everywhere. We washed with hot water and it got about 60% gone.

I have a copper kettle that I clean on a regular basis with vinegar and salt. I make sure that I dont leave any residual vinegar and salt. It shines up really well, however by the next day it is already getting dark. What can I do to preserve the shine?

Please help. I have tried using pledge other odor removing products. It just smells really bad and we are ex-smokers and we don't want any reminders. It was a great bargain and I don't want to give it up.
