We even looked under the trailer looking for a dead animal and can't seem to find anthing. It reiks of DEAD animal in the bedroom though and its making me sick...not to mention that i am pregnant and can't stand smelly stenches. I have febreezed the room and its so powerful that its overpowering the febreeze. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Thanks in Advance.

We do have mice that we hear chewing on things. I never thought that a mouse could cause such a stench though...I would think maybe a cat....but not a mouse. I am so glad we're moving soon.

ok my kids are not school aged kids. They are preschooler and toddler...the toddler is the only one who uses the sippy cup and I never put milk in it. Its only water. When she drinks milk its in the kitchen only.

did you perhaps have a hamster/mouse that ran away? or maybe do you have a mice problem?
maybe a rodent went into the ventilation system/vents in your kid's room or around there, got stuck and/or died there and now is rotting in the vent...
that actually happened to a classmate back in high school, her hamster had broken from it's cage and months later they had a stench coming from the vent and turned out the be the dead hamster rotting
yuck!
maybe also the smell could be enbedded in the carpet and/or curtains...?

have you cheeked the vent in the floor? We had a mouse on time that crawl into the vent on the floor and died. If your husband knows how have him crawl under the house and pull the vent tubing to that room and clean it out. or it could be in you outer walls of the trailer. These are just some thought if it has been there for more than a week or so it mostly isn't a dead mouse or other dead thing.

I agree you probably have a dead critter somewhere in one of the wall or floor cavities. The problem with mobile homes & trailers is that there is usually a thick plastic vapour barrier under the home, & animals can get up there so easily, & die. If you get desperate, you may consider having someone cut open the plastic under the home where the smell is comming from, & see if they can find the source.
Cutting the vapour barrier isn't something you want to do unless you are prepared to replace it in some way though.
Good Luck.

if you hear mice that is probably your cause of the smell a mouse has died somewhere in the walls and if it is cold out side you won't smell it but if you have warm weather or spring like weather like here in missouri you would smell it it will last about 1 to 2 weeks till it completly decomposes so unless you are willing to tear into every wall and ceiling of your trailor there is nothing you can do but open the window when ever they are not in that room fresh air will help a little but not much good luck and congratulations on the new baby

A dead mouse is always a possibility, LOL. Have you had the carpets cleaned, and I don't mean with a "Rug Doctor". You are smelling a protein source that is decaying. Somewhere, there must be protein. Carpets are the culprit 99% of the time when it comes to odors.

Mouse turds can make quite a stink after a while. Especially a family of mice.
Do the new to be tenants a favor and get rid of them.
What sort of person would ignore the problem and stick the new owners with it?
I suppose this will get me flagged for criticising . . .

Hmm. Have you considered the possibility of having a dead mouse or something in between the walls. This is common.
