I don't hae a lot of time due to two full time jobs and school. I have about 1 1/2 hours a week that I can dedicate to cleaning. Luckily, I have a one bedroom condo that is pretty small. Any ideas on a cleaning strategy? Thanks!

- Clean up after yourself as you go along in the kitchen (20mins max/day).
- Have a regular (separate) washday for clothes, towels and bedding, eg for me I change the bed and wash sheets on Fridays, wash towels Wednesday, wash clothes Saturday / Sunday.
- Vacuum / wash floors once a week (15 mins max).
- Clean bathroom 1/week (15mins)
- dust as needed (not needed very often - but I do hate it!
I think the main thing is keep the place tidy, clean up after yourself as you go along, turn the bed down when you get up, when you get in from work make a cup of tea and check post, and answerphone, make next day's lunches, make the bed, change clothes into scruffies, lay out next day's clothes, check email, pay bills then prepare dinner. Eat dinner, tidy up, watch TV/browse net/make calls/do homework/laundry as appropriate.
Dunno if this will help - I'm kind of obsessional but actually it makes life a lot easier when you're organised! I have a 4 bed house and we both work fulltime, plus until recently I was writing my PhD. When I set my mind to it I could thoroughly clean my whole house in 3 hours (anything being better than doing statistics). I do have someone to iron tho' because otherwise nothing would be ironed!

I'm a full time college student and a single mom. I don't try to do it all in one shot. I fill in cleaning when I have a few minutes, like scrubbing the toilet while my kid is in the shower, doing some dishes while getting him breakfast. I clean a lot when I am on the phone, I use a headset. Once a week, when you have that 1.5 hours, do one big project, like scrubbing a floor or dusting the whole house and cleaning glass. Compartmentalize your work and you will get more done.

Also, see if you have a friend who will barter cleaning in exchange for something they need from you. My friends cook for me because I do cleaning chores they hate to do (we live on the same street).

good luck and good for you for working so hard to better yourself!

Keep it picked up during the week. That way you will not waste cleaning time on organizing and putting away. In the kitchen and bath, clean up after yourself as you use them - use those Clorox wipes (or make your own). In bedroom put things away daily.

Your 1.5 hours will allow you to do a quick dust and vacuum of living room and bedroom, a scrub of sink, tub, floor and toilet in bathroom, and scrub of sink and floor in kitchen.

Something that has cut my cleaning in half are some streakfree cloth that I found. I bought them from a fundraiser from our Church and have reordered them over and over.
I use this cloth on any glass surface. All ya do is rinse them under Hot water and wipe windows, mirrors, microwave, frig...everything.
I encourage you to take a look
