I am looking for coldwater laundry detergent, as our communal washing machines currently have only cold wash (it might take some time for them to get repaired). Where can I buy such detergent and is it good? Thanks!

i live with my boyfriend who is divorced 5 years ago and has 2 kids 10 and 6, his ex is a real witch and is determined to make his lif-and mine-hell. she looked in his phone once and saw love messages between us, she still loves him and wants to get back to him..so she took my number and called me pretending that she is his girlfriend and that he is cheating on us, i believed her, but then i found out that it all was a trick from her..now she is so mad that she wants to get revenge so she gave him his oldest son and now he is living with us {its actually his first night tonight] ... she is completely nuts and i am scared she can be dangerous.the reason she has done this is to see me and to make my life hell... what shall i do if i am going out of the house and she attacks me somehow?and if she wants to take his son from me? i am in the uk on a visa,i am a student... can she do something to me?? and who would be right if she takes us to court, she can invent any story to get me in ****

cleaning. I put floers out front and fake ones in the kitchen in a vase. I have lots of candles and incents and if someone is fixing to come look at it I put cinnamon and cloves on the stove top and let it boil for a good smell. Any other ideas? I appreciate all your help!

Hi! We work with industrial bleach, degreaser, and foam. I am lloking for a website to see how much of the chemicals do you put in per gallon of water? I've read bleach is 1/2 a liquid ounce per gallon of water. I would like to have sources of this statement or a website. My concern is the bleach we use is industrial grade and we can delude it too. This year we saved money on not using so much bleach but i would like to change it and have it be lower. If i have facts that'll help me with some of the workers bad habits. Please a website or a source would be nice.

I can never get my towels fluffy-do you have to have a tumble drier to make them soft?

This is my wash routine-I wash them with other items in a 40 degree wash with washing liquid like Persil and use fabric conditioner for the final rinse.

In summer I dry them outside on the line and in winter on an indoor airer or for quickness, on the radiator which makes them even worse! (But stops them smelling which they do if they dry too slowly!)

They are so rough, you can almost exfoliate with them!

Oh, the burdens of a housewife! Help!

i have these soap stone chess peices, and some are brown, so it is not so noticable but the light green peices are stained yellow of ciggerette smoke.
i would like to clean them, because when i pull them out to play i become quite dissapointed
they were on display in my parents home for years and years, and they smoked a heck of alot.
gone from green to yellowed.

I need to wask the walls (to get rid of the dirt, dust, and marks) but I don't know what I can use aside from warm water or a Magic Eraser...but I want a good cleaning. Any suggestions on what has worked for you in the past?

This also includes the baseboards but not the celings.

Should I put them in some type of mesh bag or not? Hot, warm or cold water? Gentle or normal cycle? Please be as specific as you can.

May seem a funny question BUT what would you say is the best way to wash bras? I'm guilty of shoving mine in the washing machine with all my other clothes but I know that I shouldn't do this. Is hand washing best? It's such a chore!!

I have a mildew smell coming from my Washing Machine. I've checked the connections and find no leaks. I've washed the tub by itself with bleach and cleaned the lid. I only get the smell when I open the lid. I used to get it even when the lid was closed. I'm stumped at what to do.

Hi, Just discovered this site today. Felt this is really fantastic in helping me address questions that I will find inconvenient or embarrassing to ask friends. I wonder what are yous guys or gals' take on letting the laundromat wash your clothes. I am getting so tired of doing laundry. It is so time consuming and always takes a big chunk of my Saturday, with all these washing, hanging and folding. I have been wanting to use the laundromat drop-off service for a year, but just unsure whether you can trust them, e.g. with more delicate things like blouses or pants or shirts, and it is embarrassing to give underwear to them? Will they wash it clean and treat it like I treat my own clothes? Also since I usually hang my clothes dry to keep them in good shape, will I have to abandon this if I drop off to a laundromat? Any advice on this or on how to fix the laundry conundrum (doing it fast and efficient and make it not such a great burden) is highly appreciated!!
