Bosch or AEG, we're on our second AEG in 16 years, the first one was replaced when 10 years old, when still working perfectly and sold for £200.00. (Cost about £420.00) . The second is now 6 years old and has had a door boot replaced under warranty. NO other problems with either machine. Used 2-4 times a week for family of 4. Def the best machines available. In the same time a friend of mine has had at least 5 Hotpoints, 3 Zanussis and 4 Whirlpool machines

The German makes are the best. Shop around for the best price. You can get a decent Bosch for under £300. If you want to pay more look at Miele or AEG. I use a LG Direct Drive washer and it is proving to be very good. 1600rpm spin speed, no belt to break. It cost £600. The only criticism of it . is that it can be a bit noisy on maximum spin depending on what it is washing, heavy towels usually do it, but everything dries overnight in a warm room.

most reliable ive known is hotpoint, my mothers new hotpoint lasted 15yrs it didnt breakdown then but she opted for washer drier in one for a change shes since been having to get a new machine every 5 yrs r so so if you can get a hotpoint go for the larger rpm one though at least a 1200 id say though if you dont mind the extra work and want something that will last even longer a top loading twin tub wont let you down they are also easier to repair and more economical as you can stop the cycle anytime and add or remove clothes

Any of the popular brands are similar - trick is to buy the most basic model (forget the bells and whistles and 1000 spin is plenty) with the longest warranty - take no notice of people saying I bought a whatever twenty years ago - chances are that company was bought up by another since then and it's not the same company it was twenty years ago (most brands are now made by a handful of manufacturers and rebranded) and believe me more more expensive does not mean better! Having said that avoid the really cheap brands as they tend to be more noisy.

buy a miele. My mother in law has one and its over 18 years old. It never goes wrong. Sure they are a bit more money at first but it pats for itself hands down. Cheaper option-Hotpoints as recommended buy an engineer. Just get a 1600 spin model. saves a fortune in cash and time when drying clothes.

we've a Bosch, could be a average fee besides the undeniable fact that that is actual properly actual worth the money, additionally makes use of purely the main suitable quantity of water for the wash and is capability rated 'A', ours gets used maximum days and we've had it for terribly almost 2 years now, touch wood no issues yet! I extremely have additionally heard sturdy issues approximately Miele besides (usual German layout and performance i think of).

Miele, AEG, Zanussi and Bosch are the best according to Which? magazine. However, they are also the most expensive. Sorry but I don't know the prices, try looking on their web sites and also on the sites of places like Comet, Currys, John Lewis etc..

Here in the states Maytag is the best washer. We have a Maytag Neptune and love it. I would definitely recommend that brand if you can get it. Also buy a front loader - it is less harsh on your clothes and you can fill it with a larger load of laundry. Also most take less detergent and are energy efficient. At least our Neptune is. You will use a H.E. detergent (high efficiency) which uses a quarter of the normal size. You should be able to buy one on line if you can't find them in your area. They also come with a lifetime warranty.
