My 18 year old is devestated he got a 1 ft X 2ft.section red candle-wax on his priced X-mas gift.So far we had it in the freezer and removed the worst by scraping and peeling it of.
We are useing stacks of news -paper and paper towel to soak it up with a warm iron.
Part of the wax is covering the white number on the jersey.
How did it happen?? Horsing around of course!!
Is there any thing else we can do? THANK YOU for any help at all.!
It is of course to late,to say "don't horse around in the first place!

Try ice. Get it very cold and pick it off. It may or may not work since you allready used a hot iron on it. that was a mistake. You may have to invest in a new jersey.

If you place absorbent paper over the wax and then put a hottish iron on lightly you will find as the wax warms, it will stick on to the paper and you can remove it fairly easily. Keep experimenting with the heat and timing and change the area of the paper - a newspaper which hasn't got too much colour print on will do if you have no brown or plain paper. I hope you have success - I had to do this a few years ago and it all came off after a little time.

Isn't the iron working? I was able to remove all the candle wax from a polyester table cloth with and iron and a cotton cloth.

Good luck.

Try a piece of wax paper or a piece of brown bag with the iron on top of it.
