The brand we are replacing is a Kenmore, it took forever to dry a load of clothes.

I had a Kenmore and it worked just fine..Do you clean the lint filter, is the exhaust hose clean and is it metal??? Make sure there isn't any material in it that would effect the air going out. Was you old dryer a real old dryer??? Then new ones, even Kenmore, should be better than an older model.. Kenmore is a good brand!!!!

Go for a Condensing Dryer, They are way more efficient.
