I sat on a chair at the art gallery with wet paint on it!!!! oops.
I was told a cold wash would take the paint out, they were wrong!
What can I try without wrecking my new black pants????
All advice appreciated!

i thought of using soap to clean off the grime on a plate and count the number of strokes (with the same ammount of force) it took to clean off the plate but i couldnt figure out what to stain the plate with or to put on the plate to test this idea.

I have an old bissell vacuum with the bags. It runs great and I still have plenty of extra bags to use yet. But...every time I use it - it reeks! If I use it for more than one minute - the vacuum emits a sour smell reminicent of cat urine.
I've tried changing the bag, I've tried using baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg, carpet deodorizers... but nothing gets the smell out of my vacuum. Is there a way to rid the thing of the smell without having to chuck it in the garbage dumpster and getting a new one? Any suggestions or helpful household hints?

My crock pot "pot" comes out for easy cleaning. I just made soup in my crock pot and it boiled over, into the pot that heats up (and isn't water submersible). It's a crusty dried on mess. Any suggestions on how I can clean it without ruining my crock pot? (I LOVE my crock pot . . . ).

there is an option for second rinse on/off. WHat does that do? does it make a difference? I use regular powder detergent to wash my clothes.

The tub is old, I assume it's procelain on steel or iron. I can't clean it thoroughly. I've tried a number of commercial products, like kaboom and I've tried filling it with water, adding bleach and letting it soak. Nothing seems to work.

Does anyone have a sure-fire solution?

i bought these 2 pairs of jeans, washed them on "Gentle" and put them in the dryer on "Air" for about 15 minutes (no heat on this setting), and they still seem stiff and I can't button or zip them. *I have another pair that are the same brand and same size*, and the fit better........What should I do?

Thanks in advance for your assistance. I am a single homeowner with a dog and many family responsibilities oustide my home (parents are both very sick and need assitance often). I have a very busy job as well and an active social life.

Organization is my weak point...so when things get really hectic it seems my organization is the first to go.

I am looking into a maid, but they don't keep you organized, they just clean.

What I am looking for are easy ways to keep up with daily tasks (laundry, dishes, bills) when under a time crunch.

Any tips and tricks that work for you would be appreciated...thanks much!

P.S....know that spending less time on Yahoo Answers would help, LOL, so lets just leave that answer out please!

Is there any easy and/or quick ways to get paint out of carpeting? We painted a bedroom this last weekend, but some paint leaked through the sheets and is on the floor now. Any ideas?

After a night out drinking I was dismayed to find that I had a mayonnaise stain on my coat resulting from the chips and cheese I ate on the way home. All the care labels on the coat say that it should not be washed. I have scrubbed at the stain with water but to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of the stain (preferably without buying some expensive cleaning stuff as I am just a poor student)?

We just traded for a different vehicle a few weeks ago and there are some spots on the seats and some of the carpet in the back of the van is tracked up a little. What is the best cleaner?

When I used a stain remover the ink bled and enlarged the stain. It looks awful and has ruined the chair!

It has been a bit neglected so there is burnt on grease stains I can't remove. Because it's not a flat range I'm hesitant to use a razor blade. I've tried BAM, easy off, goo gone, magic eraser but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Why is it that every time the washing machine is emptied there is always a sock missing .And i mean always.!.
This strange phenomenon has been manifesting itself
for many years ,I have friends that have experienced the same
thing. I have dozens of odd socks.
Are the women up to something we dont know about .
What is going on. ?

Never bought one. Wondering what brand works good and has longevity I want it to last. and I don't want to have to fiddle with it and do tons of maintenance to keep it working. Want a bagless and I hear they have beltless now. Any thoughts and opinions. Want an attractive one but I hear the Dyson is powerful.
